Why Google Ads?
About This Service
How Billing Works

So why run search ads on Google?

There are countless options when it comes to digitally marketing your brand, business and/or service, and we believe Google Search Ads are one of the most cost-effective and efficient ways of doing this.

Here's why;

  1. Google Search Ads are something we call "Intent-Driven"

We call them this because when it comes to google, customers are generally searching and browsing with a purpose, that purpose is typically to find the solution to a problem they have. Think about a person searching for 'Lawn Mowing Service,' or even 'Lawn-Care Supplies,' if you can present some enticing copy at the top of the list when they search for this, you'll be able to get more qualified clicks and leads.

  1. The impact of the 'creative' is significantly less variable.

While Google Search Ads definitely do require some level of creativity, like fitting the most effective words in the given space, a google ad is far less likely to alienate any part of your potential audience and at the same time, is far more likely to deliver a clear and concise message to the viewer. When it comes to ads with visual creatives, like on platforms such as Facebook/Instagram, there are vasts amount of variables that can affect the effectiveness of your ad, testing these variables is definitely possible but can require longer timeframes and definitely significantly higher budgets.

  1. Google Ads have far less friction

Building off of our first point, when advertising on Google, you're reaching your customer at the best possible moment, which is when they're looking for you. When you use other forms of digital advertising there are a few factors that add friction to the experience. Firstly, you are typically interrupting the viewers experience and secondly, you need to be enticing enough to convince them to leave that experience to view your offer.

So what's are the cons about running Google Search Ads?

One thing to keep in mind when you are thinking about running search ads is the saturation of the industry you're in. The higher saturated an industry/niche is, the more expensive it will be to outrank the competition.

For example, someone running search ads for "women's leggings" is definitely going to need a significantly higher budget because they'll be competing with huge brands like Lulu Lemon, Gym Shark & Amazon.

On the other end, the more specific your service is, the lower budget you will need to stand out and stay at the top. The location of your target market will also play a role in determining the ad spend you'll need.

Taking our first example, running a "lawn mowing service" ad and targeting people only in your city will in most cases be significantly cheaper than advertising a generic product that you offer to all of North America.
